    SQL Server DBA

    Description:Responsible for maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases and required subsystems including assist installing new database applications, upgrading RDBMS software, ongoing systems technical support, and ensuring the integrity of the environment. Participate in all major applications development projects to maintain the integrity of the system architecture. Requirements
    • 4+ years Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience
    • Must have experience managing very large database environments (VLDB).
    • Emphasis on Windows and SQL Server performance tuning techniques
    • Demonstrated proficiency of troubleshooting techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis.
    • Ability to analyze and resolve data issues.
    • Experience in high-volume database systems.
    • Experience in deploying database changes for new releases with minimal downtime.
    • Knowledge of Windows Operating system administration.
    • BS in Computer Science or related area of study. Significant professional experience will be considered in place of degree.
    • Experience with other RDBMS platforms (Oracle or DB2) is a plus.

    Additional Information
    Database Administrator Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4-8+ years of directly related experience. Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Expert knowledge of database administration, hard/software, programming, systems analysis and related systems.
